Bella Vita…The new wine bar in Rock Hill will be featuring 60 different bottles of wine. I am not sure which bottles and they have no website yet, but there will be some higher end offerings in there. This is possible due to Enoline which was featured in a youtube video I posted earlier of the system in use in Washington wine country. I’ve sent out some emails trying to get a list, but have not heard back yet. As soon as I do, I’ll post.
RIP Hip Hops…I officially think that Hip Hops is dead. The first and only article was featured on May 7. It has not been seen since despite the claim that new columns would come out regularly. I tried emailing the writer, Adam Jadhav, but my email was returned with a failure notice. Its too bad, I was looking forward to future articles. If anyone has any information about this or you’ve seen it, let me know.
I was out of town an unable to attend this years Taste of Clayton event but apparently, there was alcoholic ice cream making a debut. Flavors with chardonnay and riesling selling for $2.50/scoop. I have never had such a thing and while it does not sound appealing to me, if I ever come across it I’ll be sure to give it a try. More on this here.
Tomorrow, more on St. Louis Wine Festival.

I have to agree that the ice cream sounds a little, well, less than delightful. I do, however, love alcohol in an Italian Granita (like a slushy) so I probably shouldn’t judge until I actually try it.
If St. Louis gets an Enoline dispenser, I will be at the bar with bells and whistles. That’s got to be a huge step forward for local wine culture.

I’ve had the ice cream, & it’s not bad. I don’t LOVE it, but I certainly don’t hate it. We thought that the port flavor was the best.
I’ve read a few other things about Bella Vita, & I think I’ll be hanging with Lucy, ringing bells, blowing whistles, & drinking.
